Introduction to subprograms, inputs, variables, outputs, selection and fixing errors.
Introduction to Computational thinking.
Assessment: Programming portfolio, Lesson quizzes, practice coding tasks & end of unit assessment
For this unit we will be using the 100 days of coding in replit (Days 1 - 8+) You are welcome to continue coding at home!
Don't forget to TURN OFF AI at the beginning of an activity.
Unit 2 CyberSecurity

Independent Learning Challenge: Cybersecurity with Hack the Box. Learn to hack in a safe environment and with a real-world purpose!
Unit 3: Advanced functions
Upskills your spreadsheet knowledge with advanced functions and features in Spreadsheets
Use the Revision blooket to help you revise for your end of unit test
Complete a digital portfolio of your work in lessons - this will also contribute towards your grade.
Term 3 Award pathways
Take a recognised Award pathway and have the option to add it to your CV/Resume or personal statement for university/college in the future!

1. iDEA Award - a DoE style award programme for Technology, Enterprise and Employability.
2. Harvard University online course - Introduction to understanding technology. This course is for mature, independent and committed learners.
Specifically for GCSE Computer Science students:
3. CodeHS - take levelled badges and end of unit quizzes to build your skills in python. Ready for Y10!
3. Time2Code - these levelled certificates are essential to your learning. Complete the course and you have learnt all the GCSE skills (and some!) required by Edexcel.
